Biographies
Richard
Gentilucci, CEO and President
Richard has spent the past 40 years in commercial
real estate, the later 20 managing the real estate portfolios
for many of the nation's largest institutional investors,
including Shamrock Holdings, Inc., the investment arm of the Roy
E. Disney family. He has an enviable track record of investment
oversight, evaluation of construction and development risk, asset
disposition, and investor and public relations. Richard was one of the architects of Genesis LA Real Estate
Fund, the first of its kind in the nation to focus on double
bottom line investments. Producing superior returns for its investors
and economic benefits to low- and moderate-income neighborhoods,
Genesis has become the model for similar funds throughout the
United States.
Richard is a respected leader
in the Southern California real estate community having brought
to the market millions of square feet of commercial and
residential development including a major motion picture studio,
senior housing projects, urban mixed-use, large retail, and the
renovation of historically significant buildings. His clients
have continually relied on his knowledge, resourcefulness
and problem-solving abilities to unlock hidden value in nearly
every type and size of real estate asset.
Richard is an active member
of the following organizations: Urban Land Institute,
International Council of Shopping Centers, USC Lusk Center,
American Arbitration Association, Pension Real Estate
Association.
Steve Bloom,
Business Development
Steve is the founder and
CEO of RENTV.com, a ten year old online news service for the
commercial real estate industry read by over 20,000
professionals each month, and Sublease.com, an online classified
ad system for commercial space. Steve founded RENTV after a
nine-year brokerage career with Cushman & Wakefield and CRESA
Partners on LA’s Westside, and a few years with developers in
New York City. RENTV acquired Sublease.com two years ago and
re-launched it last year, along with a new expanded version of
RENTV.
Steve is a graduate of
Cornell University, and received his MBA from USC.
Peter
Carniglia, Construction Manager / General Contractor
Peter is BTG's onsite Construction Manager overseeing construction
operations. Prior to joining BTG, he ran Carniglia Construction,
founded in 1989, and built a reputation as a General Contractor who
can get a project done right, on time, and within budget. Peter has
managed the construction of various residential, commercial and
specialty real estate projects throughout Los Angeles.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts
degree from San Francisco State University, Peter became a community
liaison in San Francisco, where he worked with the Mayor's
Office, developers and community groups within the city. In Los
Angeles, he has represented property owners in front of local
commissions with jurisdiction over construction and development
projects including the Department of Building and Safety, Public
Works, Streets and Engineering, and Planning and Zoning.
Peter Davis,
Development Services
Peter is an experienced real estate investor,
project manager, property manager, and contractor. As the
principal of Davis Reality Investment for seven years, he
oversaw all aspects of property acquisition, rehabilitation,
management, and disposition. As a contractor for thirteen
years, he successfully managed and completed numerous high-end
residential and commercial rehabilitation projects in
California, as well as in his native state of Maine.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Saint Michael's College in Vermont, and is a
graduate of the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate
Development. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute
and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (Los Angeles
Chapter), and an active volunteer for
Habitat for Humanity.
Katja
Eastland, Accounting and Administrative
Katja manages the accounting and
administrative affairs of BTG
and has been an associate
of Mr. Gentilucci for 15 years. Katja spent 12 years as
Corporate Controller of Shamrock Holdings and continues to work
on special assignments and projects for Shamrock as needed. She
holds an Accounting Degree from the University of San Diego and
an MBA from California State University, Northridge.
